STREET OUTREACH REPORT

SEPTEMBER 15, 2026

TUESDAY STREET REPORT — SEPTEMBER 14

We had another amazing outreach in Albuquerque yesterday! We started in the parks and began ministering to people one-on-one as we saw the need.

We walked, talked, and ministered to many people. I noticed many were raised in the faith, yet they have experienced tremendous difficulty because of poor choices, addiction, and years of living on the streets.

When I ask people how long they have been on the streets, many tell me three to five years. It raises the question: Why so long? Addiction begins to control a person’s choices, relationships, priorities, and ultimately their life. Scripture says, “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread” (Psalm 37:25). But in this case, sin has taken hold and turned into bondage, robbing them of life.

We are there to love them, listen to them, feed them, bring comfort, speak the Word of God, point them towards Christ, and help them through the weeds to locate available help. Ultimately, we pray that the love of Christ will touch their hearts, lead them to repentance, and guide them in taking the necessary steps.

We distributed MRE military meal packs, snacks, water, and other provisions. We also gave out information about programs where people struggling with addiction can receive both short-term and long-term help. Perhaps one of the most important things we did was simply sit down and listen to people’s stories—and then shine the light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ into those stories.

We met a woman I’ll call “Jesse”—her name has been changed for privacy. Jesse spends a lot of time walking and sitting in the park because things aren’t favorable at home. She told us that she and her husband have struggled with substance use, but she had been sober for at least two weeks. It was clear that she needed encouragement and help.

We shared information about places where she could receive help, prayed with her, and encouraged her to take the next step. Like I often do, I asked her if she knew the Lord and had a relationship with Christ.
She told us that she had received Christ and considered herself born again but acknowledged that she had made some poor choices.

So we prayed for strength, direction, wisdom, and the courage to change her situation and obtain the help she needs. We encouraged her to make the necessary calls and assured her that we would support and encourage her as she took those steps.

We planted seeds. We loved people. We shared the Gospel. We offered practical help.
Now we pray for those seeds to grow.

We are excited for a great report of what God will do next!

Please continue praying for Cross Harvest Street Church and Mobile Mission Outreach as we bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the streets of Albuquerque.
